Tak Cheong Loong (Group) Limited is one of the largest dangerous goods fleet in Hong Kong. Over the years, we had participated in a number of large-scale infrastructure projects, such as the Tsing Ma Bridge.
In response to the establishment of the Third-Runway System construction project in Hong Kong, HF Global Limited (the Third-Runway System construction contractor, Contract 3905) had been formed to focus on serving the urging needs of fuel consumption for all the contractors working at Third-Runway System Project.
HF Global Limited obtained all necessary licenses and permits in Hong Kong including Lantau restricted zone permits, airport restricted zone permits, license of dangerous goods carrier and the chemical waste producer certification issued by HKSAR Authorities in order to provide a one-stop fuel supply chain for the projects of third-runway system.
To secure the fuel supplies route, HF Global Limited had invested into a licensed DG carrier (Marine Ro-Ro). At the same time, we hired experience marine route personnel to work closely with Airport Authorities and Hong Kong Marine Department, to ensure quick response measure we establish an operation desk at Marine Transportation and Control Center (MTCC).
On the other hand our in-land fleets obtain a unique oil depot privileges of “24 hour access right, loading right, purchase right”. With a various choice of fuel tankers our services cover all different kinds of operating environments and client industry.
Land use dangerous goods logistics management
In the past, the construction machinery of outer islands and reclamation projects refill works had to attach the fuel hose ashore onto the bunker ship fuel pipe to unload fuel. A leak-prone towards the “pulled ashore” type of refill works resulting in oil spills situation onto the sea which increase the costs of Project Owner and even a more pinch regulations / fines introduced by the government.
In the past decade, Hong Kong government and Major enterprises had paid more attention to environmental protection and work safety issue. The bunker to in-land refill method are fail to meet the fuel demand of large-scale reclamation projects especially for non-shore engineering works. Besides, higher Sulphur content marine fuel is illegal to use or sell for in-land plate and machineries.
With a tight work schedules along with more and more complicated work procedures. HF Global Limited introduces a safe and environmental friendly dangerous goods delivery method to our outer island clients. Using DG carrier carrying licensed DG tanker trucks, we solve the reclamation project fuel storage and oil spill pollution issue
Operation Status
At present, HF Global Limited is one of the major users of dangerous goods carrier service in Hong Kong.
As of 4/2021, our DG carrier service demands a daily round trip (no less than 6 fuel tankers per trip) to construction site of the third runway system. It is most likely during the construction peak period our demand will increase doubly.
